In summer this is a beach town. From September on it is something better. The crowds go home, the light turns long and low, and seven miles of open sand belong to whoever is still here.

We open all three suites to monthly renters through the off season. Each one is a self contained apartment with its own entrance, kitchen and bath, fully furnished, with every utility included in one flat monthly rate.

Maine’s heating season runs September through April, and heating is the line item that catches renters out here. There is no heating bill at Salty Air Suites. Your rent is your total monthly cost.

Laundry. No laundry on site. A clean 24 hour laundromat is one block away. We leave a pop up hamper and a roll of quarters for you on arrival.

Suite A

$2,000 per month

Our largest unit and the most private. Set back at the rear of the property, laid out over two levels with the living room and kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. That separation is the point in winter: work, cook and take calls on one floor, sleep on the other. The quietest place on the property to put in a long stretch of focused work.

Suite B at Salty Air Suites

$1,995 per month

Ground floor, no stairs, two proper bedrooms. A private deck with ocean views off the back. Between the kitchen and the bathroom there is a bonus room with a desk, which makes a real workspace rather than a laptop on the dining table. The bathroom is split, with the toilet on one side and the tub and shower on the other, so two people can get ready at the same time without waiting on each other.

$2,100 per month

Upstairs with a private balcony over the beach. Three rooms besides the living space, two of them connecting, which makes a natural bedroom and study pairing with a spare room left over. Good light and the best outlook on the property.

Terms

  • One month stays are available at $150 above the listed monthly rate. Two months or longer are at the listed rate.
  • All winter tenancies end by May 31, or sooner depending on your needs.
  • Two occupants per bedroom maximum
  • One cat welcome. No dogs.
  • Stays of 1 to 3 months: ID and employment or contract verification, no credit check. Stays over 3 months: background and credit check before lease signing.
  • First month and security deposit due at signing

Snow. We are a beach property, not inland Maine. Snow here is lighter and clears fast. Tenants keep their own entry and parking space clear.
